gnome-fs-bookmark from Fedora 12

Description of problem:
When you create a desktop link (pointing to a web site for example) by drag&dropping website from Firefox/Epiphany/etc to your desktop, new .desktop file is created with contents like this:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Link to Fedora Project - Start Page
Type=Link
URL=http://start.fedoraproject.org/
Icon=gnome-fs-bookmark

In Fedora 12, this would show up on your desktop as a globe icon (see attachment). But if you do it in Fedora 13, there is just a plain white icon (see attachment), ugly and not reflecting the "link" character of the shortcut.

This happens because gnome-fs-bookmark icon is no longer included in Fedora 13. On Fedora 12 it used to be in /use/share/icons/gnome/<resolution>/filesystems. Now the filesystems folder is gone.

Also if you delete the Icons= line from .desktop file, the shortcut still shows a white icon. That means that even default icon for Type=Link shortcuts is probably not accessible.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 13 Beta RC2
nautilus-2.29.92.1-1.fc13.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Additional info:
I'm not sure this should be reported against Nautilus, correct me if I am wrong.

Filed an upstream bug about this:

Comment 3 Bug Zapper 2011-06-02 15:45:52 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 13 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 13. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '13'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 13's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 13 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 4 Kamil Páral 2011-06-03 12:30:46 UTC
Problem persists in Fedora 14.

Comment 5 Kamil Páral 2012-03-01 11:02:24 UTC
This is fixed in F17. Dragging a link from Firefox to Nautilus creates a .desktop file with "Icon=text-html" and relevant icon is displayed.
