Description Miroslav Suchý 2010-04-01 08:43:50 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #548001 +++

64 bit clients installs installs both rhnmd packages, rhnmd-5.3.0-4.el5sat and rhnmd-5.0.0-8.el5, whether using yum or when using an activation key. The causes the nopulse user to be installed twice, and thus probes fail move from the pending state.

That i386 package should not be in x86_64 channel. Historicaly it was there, but should not be there.
I'm not sure if it is possible to remove i386 version from RHN. But this will not help those who already installed both packages.
But we can fix it by putting into spec:
%ifarch x86_64
  Obsoletes: rhmd.i386
%endif

commit 530c3fc44f609df129771a06de97bebaceb1faea

x86_64 version now obsoletes i386 version, so during upgrade i386 should be removed

Comment 2 Miroslav Suchý 2010-04-12 14:54:11 UTC
commit 0c410c0a32a66ff542a5b244097fc7fce9de08e7 to obsolete all arch since we are noarch now.
