About 90% of the tile images in desktop-backgrounds-basic are probably well over 10 years old and best described as ugly. Take a look "diffraction-patterns.png" and "qbist1.png" for example... the tiles folder also includes images that are not usable as background tiles ("reset.png" for example) as well as full wallpapers (most of them from KDE1? see "kde_passion.jpg") for example. The package needs to be cleaned up and tiles (some seem to be used by nautilus as folder backgrounds) need to be separated from other kinds of images.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 12.
