Description of problem: ATI HD5770 ugly display when KMS is enabled Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Juniper [Radeon HD 5700 Series] All following kernel with KMS enabled : kernel-2.6.33.2-38.fc13.x86_64 kernel-2.6.33.2-39.fc13.x86_64 kernel-2.6.33.2-42.fc13.x86_64 kernel-2.6.33.2-43.fc13.x86_64 libdrm-2.4.20-1.fc13.x86_64 linux-firmware-20100106-4.fc13.noarch xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.13.0-1.fc13.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.8.0-3.fc13.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-common-1.8.0-3.fc13.x86_64 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: Juste let KMS enabled Actual results: Dispkay are ugly, colors are insipid. Areas with light color looks like it was white. Expected results: Additional info: If I boot with nomodeset switch, problem does not occure and display is correct.
Same problem with kernel-2.6.33.2-49.fc13.x86_64, I have to boot with nomodeset switch to get correct display.
I am now running : - kernel-2.6.33.2-60.fc13.x86_64 - xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.13.0-2.fc13.x86_64 - xorg-x11-server-common-1.8.0-8.fc13.x86_64 - xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.8.0-8.fc13.x86_64 - libdrm-2.4.20-1.fc13.x86_64 and problem is still alive. Problem is fixed by last kernel 2.6.33.3-71.fc13.x86_64.
