Description of problem: After setting the input device to the microphone in the webcam it works, but on a reboot or a return from hibernation, the selected microphone reverts back to the default (non-existent) internal microphone Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): $ pulseaudio --version pulseaudio 0.9.21 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Last time I rebooted, the input sound device had _NOT_ reverted. However, I have hibernated and restored several times since I raised this error, and the input sound device _HAD_ reverted, each and every time. I am using the machine for work (I work from home). So at the moment, I should not be causally rebooting it!

I just want to confirm that it's still the case for fedora 14. When I remove the usb device and replug it, it loses its priority in gnome-volume-control.
I installed Fedora 14 final. I have a usb webcam that I had selected its microphone. The selection survived a reboot. However, when I hibernated and the restored, the camera's microphone was not even listed as an option!
Sorry, I should have changed the Fedora version to 14, only just noticed I had left it at 12!
