gnome-terminal and xterm show garbled fonts with compiz enabled (intel graphics)

Description of problem:
After I enable compiz the fonts sometimes look garbled. Looks a bit like the window damage area isn't set correctly. After hitting enter or scrolling the font get displayed correctly. See screenshot.

1. enable compiz
no garbled fonts
