Description markm 2010-04-21 10:03:26 UTC
Description of problem:

package included in Fedora does not contain any custom themes for the application and the application uses default gtk colours, which is quite unfortunate, because while editing photos it is better to keep application colours darker. original package includes a few customised themes just for photo editing, they are missing in Fedora's package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

rawtherapee-3.0-0.15.a1.fc12.i686

How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run application
2. go to preferences

Actual results:

application uses by default GTK+ theme and no other choices are available

Expected results:

application uses by default grey theme and other choices should be available

Additional info:

Personally I don't mind to have bright theme set as default (like nodoka-looks or clearlooks), but when it comes to photo editing, grey or dark-grey menus and options are much better - so at least other themes than "Default GTK+" should be available for user to choose from.

Hi Marek,

so far, as I remember, there is not clear license for translations and themes. Until this is clear and license will belong into Fedora approved license, Fedora could not ship it.

However, if you really missing themes, feel free to copy theme files from Rawtherapee repository.

Ok, understand the reason - just thought it went missing somehow during a build process.

I am still using 2.4.1 as 3.0 is still in alpha and missing some features.
Thanks for explanation!

upstream done some progress in licensing
http://code.google.com/p/rawtherapee/issues/detail?id=16

themes in mercurial repo have now header with license info (GPLv3+)

Yes, I will rebuild very soon with them.
Thanks.
