Description David Le Sage 2010-04-23 05:08:17 UTC
Description of problem:
Expanding the list of recent items causes X to freeze.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.29.1-4

How reproducible:
Every time (tried it three times).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. gnome-shell --replace
2. Activities Overlay
3. Click on arrow next to "Recent Items" to expand the list.

Actual results:
List will expand after a short delay. However, you cannot close it again. Mouse will move but nothing else is responsive. Cannot escape Activies Overlay mode at all. I tried to just stop the gnome-shell with kill -9 but this did not work so I had to kill X itself.

Expected results:
Recent items list should expand and collapse without locking up the system.

Hard to say at this point - seems like a graphics driver bug. Recent Items is gone in Fedora 15 GNOME Shell.
