Description of problem:

Linux stevlx1253.bc.jsplc.net 2.6.18-128.4.1.0.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue Aug 4 15:23:10 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
PROBLEM SYMPTOMS:

On el5u3, run:
# /etc/init.d/edac start
Starting edac:                                             [  OK  ]
Though it returned 'Ok', but in fact it filed, e.g. no edac* module loaded.

A desired output is to report a failure when starting edac instead of 'OK', if there is not hardware support.patch attached

This bug/component is not included in scope for RHEL-5.11.0 which is the last RHEL5 minor release. This Bugzilla will soon be CLOSED as WONTFIX (at the end of RHEL5.11 development phase (Apr 22, 2014)).
