Description Markus B. 2010-04-30 23:20:13 UTC
Description of problem:
Since kernel 2.6.33.2-57 powertop shows about 60 i915 interrupts per second on an idle machine. Kernel 2.6.33.2-41 was fine.

Comment 1 Markus B. 2010-05-04 20:18:34 UTC
The same problem in kernel 2.6.33.3-72.fc13.x86_64

Comment 2 Attilio 2010-05-17 09:45:28 UTC
I'm experiencing the same behavior, AFAIK it's due to a problem in the intel graphics driver, see: http://www.lesswatts.org/projects/powertop/known.php#intelgfx

Comment 3 Markus B. 2010-05-19 21:35:01 UTC
@Attilio: I thought this bug was fixed a long time ago.

The same problem in kernel 2.6.33.4-95.fc13.x86_64.

Comment 4 Markus B. 2010-06-01 12:39:36 UTC
The same problem in kernel 2.6.33.5-112.fc13.x86_64.

I've attached the output of
# inteltool -a

I can provide more infos on request.

The other two boxes I own (945 chipset) don't snow 60 interrupts/s.
