Description of problem: does not show. I think it has been misplaced / misconfigured in the rpm package itself and gets installed to a wrong location. I may be mistaken. easytag-2.1.6-2.fc12.x86_64
I think you are at least partly mistaken : [dude@python3 ~]$ rpm -ql easytag | grep icon /usr/share/pixmaps/EasyTAG_icon.xpm [dude@python3 ~]$ grep icon /usr/share/applications/easytag.desktop Icon=EasyTAG_icon I see the icon fine on all of my Fedora systems, most of which are running 12. Maybe this could have to do with this being the "old style" icon location? I'll check to see if this couldn't be an icon cache problem.
Just checked the packaging guidelines, and the above is still perfectly valid, thus should work (and does for me) : https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Icon_tag_in_Desktop_Files If you find a reliable way of reproducing the problem, please reopen the report and detail it. Thanks!
Created attachment 410932 [details] My .desktop file This is what was created on my system upon installation. The icon doesn't show neither in the main menu, nor in a file menu. Though /usr/share/pixmaps/EasyTAG_icon.xpm exists in its place.
