Description Need Real Name 2002-01-24 17:39:58 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows 95)

Description of problem:
Using the right mouse button to "Rename" an icon on the desktop the "Rename"
selection still ghosted.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open an X Session
2.Point an icon onto desktop
3.Click with the right button over it and try to Rename it...

Actual Results: "Reset" field is ghosted.

Expected Results: Rename an icon's name...

Additional info:

The only way I found to change the name is modifying by hand the .xml file and
the link file located into the .gnome-desktop/ folder... Tricky but it works...

You can't rename icons that are really .desktop files. (I don't know what you
mean by .xml files, Red Hat nautilus never creates those.)

Someone recently submitted a patch to allow this rename, it will appear when we
upgrade to GNOME 2, probably release after next. I'm not planning to fix this
on the Red Hat level however.
