Description Richard W.M. Jones 2010-05-07 21:17:23 UTC
Description of problem:

I have a number of VMs migrated from Xen which directly store an ext3
filesystem on a virtual block device. For example:

# file -bsL /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-dbroot
Linux rev 1.0 ext3 filesystem data (needs journal recovery)

virt-inspector has no idea what to do with these, and related tools
like virt-df fail completely on them.

This is not such an uncommon configuration, and we should support it.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

libguestfs-tools-1.2.2-1.el5.3

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. virt-df
2.
3.

Actual results:

No output.

Expected results:

Detect and display filesystem-on-image VMs.
