An uninitialized memory access issue exists in WebKit's handling of selection changes on form input elements. Visiting a maliciously crafted website may lead to an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. This issue is addressed through improved handling of selections.
Red Hat would like to thank Drew Yao of Apple Product Security for responsibly reporting this issue. Upstream acknowledges wushi of team509, working with TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative as the original reporter.
This issue does not affect webkitgtk (1.2.0 (r56916)) or qtwebkit (4.6.2 (r50154)) as it was fixed in an earlier svn revision (r46437).
