Sendmail starts fine on boot, but does not shut down correctly. Performing a "service sendmail stop" at the command line works correctly and stops the service. Tested with beta2 and recieved expected behavior. Please test again and confirm.
Reproduced on Beta 2.
I'm not able to replicate this in the lab. Just to make sure . . . you boot the system, then after it boots, run 'telinit 6' and sendmail will fail to shutdown. Or are you performing other actions between bringing the machine up and shutting it down?
Looks like this has been fixed in Hampton Beta 3. Closing.
