Description Tomas Hoger 2010-06-18 09:53:44 UTC
Same problem as the this that got fixed in EL4 long ago.

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #163070 +++

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #152516 +++

Description of problem:
The debugging info for /usr/sbin/slapd appears to be missing from
openldap-debuginfo. Not all the source is there, either (e.g. the source for
do_bind is not included).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openldap-servers-2.2.13-2
openldap-debuginfo-2.2.13-2

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the
current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to address this
request at this time. Red Hat invites you to ask your support
representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant,
in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Patch for the spec file

Still true in openldap-2.3.43-14.el5. The install makefile targets strip the binaries by default, it can be avoided by overriding the STRIP variable (as done in RHEL-6).
