Description Thomas Willert 2010-06-25 07:28:49 UTC
Description of problem:
Errata sync between cloned channals is not working. After creating a cloned channel, cloning all erratas from the original channel will still not let you "sync" the erratas after adding new packages to the original erratas.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Spacewalk 1.0

How reproducible:
Reproducible in about 10 minutes times.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create channel "base1".
2. Create errata "errata1" for "base1" channel.
3. Create a new channel "base1-clone" as a current-state clone from "base1". Clone all erratas from "base1".
4. Add another package to "errata1".
5. Go to "Channels-> Manage Software Channels -> choose "base1-clone" channel -> Errata -> Sync".

Actual results:

"No out of date errata were found."

Expected results:

Should be showing "errata1" as it has had new packages added to it, and therefore its clones should be synced.

Mass-moving to space13.

Comment 2 Miroslav Suchý 2011-04-11 07:33:41 UTC
We did not have time for this one during Spacewalk 1.4 time frame. Mass moving to Spacewalk 1.5.

Aligning under space16.

Comment 5 Tomas Lestach 2011-08-05 16:11:05 UTC
Hey Thomas,

do you still see the problem?

When I tried to reproduce it, I discovered an another problem (Bug 728572), but not your one.
(If you try to reproduce, you'll need spacewalk-java-1.6.17-1 not to hit Bug 728572).

Comment 6 Tomas Lestach 2011-09-16 11:44:47 UTC
After 4 weeks NEEDINFO still not answered.

Closing as CURRENTRELEASE.
