Description Matt Domsch 2002-03-14 15:59:56 EST
Description of Problem:
Please add the x86info package to the Hampton distribution, and pre-make
the /dev/cpu/* devnodes. This can be really useful for tracking down CPU-
dependent issues.

Per Dave Jones, this is the preferred method of obtaining CPU information,
instead of /proc/cpuinfo

Comment 1 Matt Domsch 2002-03-19 12:21:57 EST
x86info v1.7 doesn't know about P4 Prestonia or Foster CPUs, nor HT. Dave says
that the one in CVS does.
