Description:I'm new employ in redhat, and my primary duty is to care about openJdk distributions for fedora. I'm replacing mmatejov in this. So I need to become a Fedora Package Collection Maintainer.
Last build (eg. this rpm) were my first packages, but it was told me that I still need to be sponsored.

I suggest you to introduce yourself in java-list, there are some RH employees working for java related packages and can sponsor you.

Java list:

Java packaing guideline:

Java wiki:

How to get sponsored into the packager group

java-1.6.0-openjdk is already in the distro, so this review request doesn't make sense. Review request are used for completely new packages. You should talk to your manager about how to get sponsored as a Red Hat employee.

Why must a RH employee sponsor Jiri? And why is the java list a place to get sponsored?

There is a lot of open review requests to work on to show package knowledge.

Any way, welcome to Fedora Jiri!
