Description Juan Manuel Rodriguez 2010-08-19 05:19:21 UTC
Description of problem:
When attempting to update a package, fedpkg attempted to update it using my laptop's Username instead of the BODHI_USER username.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
[Nushio@Balmung ~]# rpm -q fedora-packager
fedora-packager-0.5.1.2-2.fc13.noarch

How reproducible:
Very.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to update a package via fedpkg update
2. Make sure the user you're logged in to is different from your fas username
3. Watch it fail to update.

Actual results:
[Nushio@Balmung f12]$ fedpkg update
Creating a new update for purple-plugin_pack-2.6.3-1.fc12
Password for Nushio:

Expected results:
[Nushio@Balmung f12]$ fedpkg update
Creating a new update for purple-plugin_pack-2.6.3-1.fc12
Password for nushio:

(Lower case 'nushio'), as per BODHI_USER settings.

Additional info:
The Wiki page, Package Update Howto needs to be updated.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_update_HOWTO#Submit_your_update_to_Bodhi

It mentions adding BODHI_USER=foo to .cvspkgsrc, which I believe is no longer being used?

Comment 1 Jesse Keating 2010-08-19 20:06:45 UTC
I believe dennis just fixed this by making the update command read your user name from the fedora cert.

Comment 2 Susi Lehtola 2010-08-23 11:54:13 UTC
I can verify this, the same thing happened to me today with an up-to-date system.

When is the rectified version coming out?

Comment 3 Jesse Keating 2010-08-23 18:16:52 UTC
Hopefully tonight/tomorrow.
