http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2010-August/141413.html Summary: Currently, noauto causes filesystems to be skipped at boot but still automatically mounted later. Please make noauto cause filesystems to not be mounted automatically at all. Discussion on the fedora devel mailing list seems to suggest that "nobootwait" would make a good option name for the new behavior. Thanks
I think some distributions have already implemented "bootwait" and "nobootwait" and that makes perfect sense to adopt if we don't do this already in Fedora. Otherwise honoring "noauto" is very important.
Already fixed upstream.
