Description Sundtek 2010-09-01 19:45:00 UTC
Description of problem:

1. Scanning channels using predefined scanfiles works
2. me-tv tries to read the transponder table descriptor, this seems to work for the frequency and for the modulation type however the requested symbolrate is wrong. This is an application Bug.
3. after the scan when switching to a station which was found by using the scanfile me-tv does not tune to the particular transponder, this is another application bug.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

just try to scan a dvb-c cable network.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

DVB-C should work properly.

Expected results:

Hi, that's clearly an upstream bug.

What verion of me-tv is that? rpm -q me-tv

If it's 1.3.2 i would ask you to file a bug upstream and cross post the links. If it's an older version, please update to 1.3.2 first.

it's 1.3.2

Please see following Screenshot:
http://www.sundtek.de/images/metvfedora.png

Manual retune was running following command:
/opt/bin/mediaclient -m DVBC -f 113000000 -M Q64 -S 6900000

Comment 3 Sundtek 2010-09-01 20:09:32 UTC
The Symbolrate is supposed to be 6900000, so it seems that MeTV parses the transponder list descriptor in a wrong way.

The Problem is that the Symbolrate is stored in a way which the developer did not take in account.

In the MPEG-TS descriptor tables it is stored as 0x69000 the metv developer uses the decimal value of this which is 430080 but according to the specification the hex value represents a decimal value.
