Description Need Real Name 2002-04-08 20:57:16 UTC
Description of Problem:

This package prevents installation of the new version of rpm and
related packages (rpm-devel, etc.).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

perl-Perl-RPM-0.291-2

How Reproducible:

Install perl-Perl-RPM-0.291-2 on a machine with the previous version
of rpm utilities and libraries. Attempt to upgrade rpm and friends
with up2date.

Actual Results:

up2date will not upgrade packages unless perl-Perl-RPM is uninstalled
(but it can be installed again later).

Expected Results:

up2date installing everything.

Additional Information:

Comment 1 Jeff Johnson 2002-04-08 22:55:46 UTC
Uninstall perl-Perl-RPM, and use rpm-perl
instead.
