Description Garik Khachikyan 2010-09-03 09:44:58 UTC
Description of problem:
On the current iso of Satellite 540 (Satellite-5.4.0-RHEL5-re20100827.0-x86_64.iso) it is not possible to prepare kickstart profiles for the satellite-sync-ed Red Hat 5 channels (neither 32bit nor 64bit)
The packages, erratas all are synced, the kickstart stuff is physically in the /var/satellite/rhn/kickstart/... but: in the UI of the satellite creating KS profile fails.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite-5.4.0-RHEL5-re20100827.0-x86_64.iso

How reproducible:
2 from 2 attempts - syncing i386 x86_64 RHEL5 channels.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. satellite-sync RHEL5 base channel (i386 | x86_64)
2. through Satellite webUI try to make a new KS profile.
3.

Actual results:
There is shown: "No trees were found for the selected channel"

Expected results:
Red Hat kickstart trees for the RHEL5 base channel should show in the dropdown box.

Garik - please restart tomcat and look again. There is a known bug where kickstart trees do no show up due to a tomcat hibernate cache issue.

Thanks,
Cliff

I did restarted (/usr/sbin/rhn-satellite restart) no progress in there.
