Description Bill Crawford 2002-04-12 03:17:09 UTC
Description of Problem:
If I open gqview in a directory with a large number of images (several
thousand), the status shows that thumbnails are being generated, then the
progress bar crawls slowly for a few seconds, then suddenly speeds up, at which
point any images not yet shown have an icon with a big question mark and
"unknown" underneath. Running lsof shows thousands of open files, presumably
indicating that the process cannot open any more.
What's puzzling me is that I'm sure it was worked as expected in directories
with >1000 images in before, as little as a week ago, but neither gqview nor
gtk+ appear to have changed in over a fortnight.

I wonder if it could be an imlib bug? What if you back down your imlib version?

Comment 2 Owen Taylor 2002-04-12 16:17:25 UTC
Yep, this is a 1.9.13 bug. The 1.9.13-3.7.x packages in Rawhide
now should fix this problem.

Thanks, that's fixed it.
