For posting to twitter it would be useful if we could have an autoreplace for things like s/.../…/, s/--/—/ to save characters, so that I don't have to remember the Unicode code point for them and manually enter it with Ctrl-Shift-u-2-0-2-6 etc.
I did some work on this one, and I got it working, but it sure wasn't pretty. The details are in the corresponding upstream bug report. Please feel free to look at it and improve it or test it as is. I'm going to wait to include this in the Fedora package until I get feedback from upstream.
