Description theenglishman 2002-04-14 20:58:15 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020401

Description of problem:
A Control-Y character is present in the last line of /etc/sysconfig/i18n after
changing locale from en_GB.iso885915 to en_GB

This causes an error message when a new shell is started.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run locale_config as root (or via panel menu and enter root passwd)
2.Select en_GB.iso885915 and hit OK.
3.Use $EDITOR to examine /etc/sysconfig/i18n (should be OK)
4.Re-run locale_config
5.Select en_GB and hit OK.
6.Use $EDITOR to examine /etc/sysconfig/i18n (should be ^Y on last line).

Actual Results: /etc/sysconfig/i18n contains Ctrl-Y character, as well as
expected text (see below).

Expected Results:  /etc/sysconfig/i18n should read:
LANG="en_GB"
SUPPORTED="en_GB.iso885915:en_GB:en"
SYSFONT="lat0-sun16"
SYSFONTACM="iso15"
