can reproduce the crash via resizing gnome-terminal-window, but only on ATI Radeon graphics, not with a Nvidia card and not on intel chipset. Steven, do you use ati? Looks like something connected with X-driver.
Correct. This is a Dell 8600 with an ATI Radeon Mobility 9600 video card

I'm not 100% sure if this is related or not, but after an update to todays updates-testing repo the system has started hard locking. Sadly I can't get to any logs at all when the machine has hung. Nothing out of the normal appears in /var/log/messages. no, that's probably just the known bug in that version of glibc. congratulations, your system is screwed. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638091 -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
Ah fun! I could actually boot, but not do a great deal within X before the system hard locks. Thankfully I could get to tty2 while GDM was showing and managed to 'yum history undo 21' and get a fully working system again. Therefore, disregard comment #8-10 :)
I am unable to repo this anymore. It may have been fixed with another update to mesa or the ati xorg driver. If nobody else can reproduce this, it can probably be closed.
