Description of problem: I have channel with checksum set to "sha1" and in /var/cache/rhn/repodata/jhutar-a-sha1/repomd.xml I see '<checksum type="sha">' which seems correct. But in /var/cache/rhn/repodata/jhutar-a-sha1/primary.xml.gz there is: [...] <name>SSS-hpc-1</name> <arch>x86_64</arch> <version ver="1" rel="1" epoch="0"/> <checksum type="sha256" pkgid="YES">d79ed384c5862e1233fa5cb4a402675c178dd5a6e04d01df30db066b9d053d0f</checksum>' [...] Is it correct/expected? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Galactica 20100910.2 How reproducible: 1 of 1 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create channel with SHA1 checksum 2. Push some packages into it 3. Investigate checksum types used in /var/cache/rhn/repodata/<channel>/repomd.xml and /var/cache/rhn/repodata/<channel>/primary.xml.gz Actual results: sha in repomod.xml and sha256 in primary.xml.gz Expected results: This is more a question than a bug, so expected is whatever devel says :) Additional info: This might be expected, but asking to be 100% sure.
<mim> cliff-bug-triage: I'd close it completely - not a bug. Repo and rpm checksum are two independent things.
