For tracking purposes, when/if we do a kde-4.5 update for f13, compiz-kde will need love/testing (since it's known to use kwin internal/unstable apis). My quick-n-dirty test just now using $ rpm -q compiz-kde kdebase-workspace compiz-kde-0.8.6-1.fc13.x86_64 kdebase-workspace-4.5.1-0.1.fc13.x86_64 yields no kde decorator

This probably needs fixing on F14 and devel too. It's the same version (0.8.6) everywhere (except F12 which will probably not get an official KDE 4.5 update).
KDecorationBridgeUnstable has not changed between 4.4 and 4.5: http://websvn.kde.org/branches/KDE/4.4/kdebase/workspace/kwin/lib/kdecorationbridge.h?view=log http://websvn.kde.org/branches/KDE/4.5/kdebase/workspace/kwin/lib/kdecorationbridge.h?view=log The reason it's not working must be more subtle.
(And there aren't any 4.5 fixes in Compiz git, neither in master nor in compiz-0.8.)
sorry for the false alarm, seems ok afterall. Last time I just tried: compiz --replace => no window decoration this time: kde-desktop-effects.sh to toggle to compiz, and all is happy.
