Description Jianwei Weng 2010-09-27 05:51:49 UTC
As vendor confirmed in https://hardware.redhat.com/show.cgi?id=633441#c11:
<snip>
We did not use or modify any of the boot parameters during the OS installation.
That's how RHEL6 installation installed the boot parameters.
</snip>
Appears these boot parameters are used by default,so Info test should ignore these boot parameters.

Comment 1 Greg Nichols 2011-01-20 19:31:57 UTC
The info test currently just logs boot parameters. Is the suggestion that we filter the logging (hiding these parameters from the log), or fail the info test when parameters not in this list appear?

Comment 2 QinXie 2011-01-24 02:22:54 UTC
Vendor also confirmed "rd_DM_UUID=ddf1_SimpleVol" is used by default. For detail, please see https://hardware.redhat.com/show.cgi?id=656223#c54

Comment 3 QinXie 2011-01-24 02:24:50 UTC
I think it should be catalog bug, but not v7 bug. We wish catalog can remove these "by default" parameters from it's hight list.

Comment 11 Rob Landry 2011-05-23 17:06:03 UTC
A new catalog and policy guide version which addresses this bug is now available on the official website. If any problems are encountered please open a bug describing the issue selecting the "Red Hat Hardware Certification Program" product.
