I've been using Lucida Typewriter for all my xterm and emacs windows since 1994. During the install of F14, I installed bitmap-lucida-typewriter-fonts, which, in previous Fedora releases, had given me the "Lucida Typewriter" selection in the font list for gnome terminal. But when I looked for it, it wasn't there. The font does show up in the output of "fc-list", and can be selected in emacs: $ fc-list | grep Lucida LucidaTypewriter:style=Sans Bold LucidaTypewriter:style=Sans Versions of relevant components: pango-1.28.1-4.fc14.x86_64 bitmap-lucida-typewriter-fonts-0.3-16.fc14.noarch How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install F14 2. yum install bitmap-lucida-typewriter-fonts 3. In any terminal window, go to Edit/Profile Preferences, unselect "Use the system fixed width font" and look for Lucida Typewriter in the list of available fonts. Actual results: Lucida Typewriter is not in the list Expected results: Lucida Typewriter should be in the list
After being an issue for several months before I filed the BZ, within a week of filing, something (not pango, I think) in a recent F14 update has fixed this problem.
