Description of problem: Classful routing is a way of the past with CIDR. There exist two standards for pushing classless routes. These are option codes 121 and 249. http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3442.txt http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc227282%28PROT.13%29.aspx It appears that the modern versions of windows also uses 121 now. It is quite easy to add the static routing to the server, but dhclient and NetworkManager need to be updated to pull the routes and add them. Below are some descriptions. This is all fine and good, but it would be nice if it was built in so added configuration is needed. http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/471 http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19183&p=106906 http://troshlyak.wordpress.com/2010/02/23/receiving-static-routes-through-dhcp-in-fedora-12/
