From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.0.0-9; Linux) Description of problem: When surfing to a certain site with links to my local filesystem, Konqueror gets stuck with a dialogue "Security Alert - Konqueror This untrusted page contains a link file:/D%7C/%A4u%A7%40/web/newvia2/images/banner/networking.swf to your local file system." When you click OK it only displays the dialogue again. It is impossible to navigate away or close the window. Must xkill to make it go away. I copied the offending site to my web server. I suggest opening this in a New Window: http://www.mplug.org/archive/2002/konq_security_warn_bug/MVP4.jsp.html Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Skipjack Beta 2 KDE 3.0.0-9 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to a web page with a link to a local file (like the URL above) Actual Results: Stuck in Security Alert loop. Must use xkill to stop it. Expected Results: It should alert only once, and clicking OK should dismiss it. Additional info:
I can confirm this.
Re-tested: Unable to confirm this bug in Red Hat Linux 7.3 at that particular URL. mschwendt, what URL caused this for you?
Erhm, who has changed this from Skipjack-beta2 to Valhalla? My comment on 2002-04-28 referred to Skipjack-beta2, of course, and the URL in your report. I was also stuck in a dialog-box endless-loop. Can't reproduce this with Valhalla.
Bero, Was anything added to KDE between Skipjack 2 and Valhalla that might have fixed this? Just confirming.
Yes, this was fixed by updating to the post-3.0-release KDE_3_0_BRANCH in -11.
