zoneminder-1.24.3-4.20110324svn3310.fc15 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 15. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/zoneminder-1.24.3-4.20110324svn3310.fc15
I think we actually got to the bottom of this. At some point in the past, v4l1 support was removed from the OS but applications could still compile against it. Unfortunately they'd simply crash when they tried to actually access v4l1 functionality. Up until very recently, zoneminder required v4l1, though it would also make use of v4l2 in some circumstances. Now that v4l1-using applications will no longer build at all, upstream has finally made changes in their SVN tree so that v4l1 is not used. I have pushed this into rawhide and f15; testing is appreciated. Also, this situation is exacerbated by the fact that neither I nor Martin have cameras which showed this problem; all if my cameras are network connected. We welcome maintainers or testers who have cameras we do not.
