Description Jason Guiditta 2010-10-14 20:05:32 UTC
If not too messy, hook these two options together so choosing OS selects the correct software repo (possibly hiding the toggle from user, this is less defined). This is another thing that will need substantially more logic later, like when user can select multiple repos for one template. For now, simply choosing fedora repo to go with fedora OS should suffice.

Not sure if i understood the bug correctly :

Just adding my comments :
While creating a template i get an option to select "Platform choice"
Fedora 13 and Rhel 5 .

Comment 4 Shveta 2010-10-27 13:12:53 UTC
<clalance> shveta: Right, that is in the "Create New Template" page.
<clalance> shveta: Basically, when you choose a Fedora 13 repo, make sure it shows Fedora 13 packages.
<clalance> If you choose a RHEL repo, it shows RHEL packages.
<shveta> oh ok
<clalance> jayg: Is that right?
<clalance> jayg: And does that actually work?
<jayg> clalance: that would be right if we actually had a rhel repo in the config
<clalance> jayg: OK, that's sort of what I thought. So this isn't likely to work at present, right?
<jayg> I tested it again internal rhel5 repo, wfm, but not sure that we will have anything in src tree
<jayg> and certainly not in rpm
* imcleod (~imcleod.redhat.com) has joined #deltacloud-internal
<clalance> jayg: OK, thanks.
<jayg> if we are squeezing in rhel6 beta for rc2, that would probably be the time to test
<jayg> sure
<clalance> shveta: So at present, you probably aren't going to be able to verify that one.

Comment 5 wes hayutin 2010-10-27 16:17:30 UTC
Actually I think we can verify this..

If you select Fedora 13 you get a list of Collections, Groups, and Packages.

If you select RHEL you only get a list of Collections, NO GROUPS, NO PACKAGES

This indicates that the repository has changed...

moving to verified
