I believe the last message is self-explanatory. Could I ask you what evolution-data-server version you have installed, please? I suppose this is because gnome-phone-manager is using gtk3, but evolution-data-server not. There was done a fix in evolution-data-server-2.32.0-2.fc14 to not link libebook with gtk+, which may fix this and similar issues in other applications using libebook and compiling against gtk3.

Could anyone of you verify this, please?

Comment 6 Julien Humbert 2010-11-03 23:54:32 UTC
Using evolution-data-server 2.32.0-3.fc14 from @updates, crash still occurs.

-----
1. Start gnome-phone-manager on FC14

Just try to start it

Comment 8 Milan Crha 2010-11-05 14:01:18 UTC
(In reply to comment #6)
> Using evolution-data-server 2.32.0-3.fc14 from @updates, crash still occurs.

Thanks for giving this a try. I have it installed too and based on
   $ for i in `ldd gnome-phone-manager | awk '{print $3}'` ; do if [[ `ldd $i |
       grep gtk` ]] ; then echo -e "$i \n `ldd $i | grep gtk` \n" ; fi ; done

these below [1] are still using gtk2, through which these is that brought in gnome-phone-manager. Either let each respective maintainer know to use gtk3 and provide libraries for it, or avoid linking to it (quite impossible, as it can be brought in by other library) or let the gnome-phone-manager disable the gtk3 compilation in F14, if possible.

There is nothing more to be done with respect of evolution-data-server/libebook (the above command was also showing libebook before update to the 2.32.0-3).

[1] list of libraries using gtk indirectly from gnome-phone-manager:

/usr/lib64/libcanberra-gtk.so.0
 	libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

/usr/lib64/libgnome-bluetooth.so.8
 	libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

/usr/lib64/libglade-2.0.so.0
 	libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

/usr/lib64/libgtkspell.so.0
 	libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

To the benefit of those above who are unaware of an already made fix for this application:

http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=208708

If you have a 32-bit Intel machine, download the package under "i686". If you have a 64-bit Intel machine, download the "x86_64" package.

Hope this helps all of you :) Please be sure to report back if your problem is/is not resolved with the software :D!
