Description of problem: When an action such as "Update channels", or "Upgrade all packages" is selected there is no window displayed to show what the program is doing, making it appear that the program is dead. Click on "Upgrade all packages" button Actual results: No progress window is displayed Expected results: Progress window should be displayed Additional info: This problem has been reported upstream, and a temporary fix was suggested while awaiting a "proper" fix from the maintainer.
