Description of problem: The scipy 0.8 and numpy 1.5 has been out for quite a while. I haven't found a build in koji yet. Hopefully there is an update. Release notes are at: http://www.scipy.org/
Very likely not going to happen for F14 which is very close to release. I'll see what I can do to get them into rawhide and into the new personal addon repositories And just an FYI. Things that see releases midway through our release testing process prior to release don't always get in. Especially when there's no clear roadmap as to when to expect a new release to land. We can sort of plan for things like GNOME because there is a well established roadmap and release schedule in their project to plan around. For numpy and friends I'm not sure we can't anticipate because there isn't a roadmap we can look at to anticipate when a release will definitely happen. -jef
Jef - Do you need help with these packages? Seems like we're stuck at 0.7.3 even in rawhide. 0.9.0 is out.
FC15 (beta) has Numpy 1.5, but Scipy is still at 0.7.2.
I'll block out time to do the scipy update this weekend, unless Orion has already started it. Sorry guys, day job is absolutely killing me for months now. I've gone from doing my own research to doing "innovative" scientific instrument development and there just hasn't been much in the way of extra brain power to spare. You know its bad when I look forward to the relatively gentlemenly nature of the arguments in the fedora-devel-list to take you away from the dayjob "collaborative" discussions. -jef
I'm happy to update F15 - to 0.9.0?
Orion, you rock. If you can do it go ahead and do it. I owe you a bottle of your favorite beverage if we ever have the chance to meet. -jef
