Description Matt Hirsch 2010-10-21 05:13:49 UTC
Description of problem:

When calling python-twitter from a python script I get this:

Exception occured: __init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'access_token_key'

I don't believe version 0.6 supported oauth. The version of python-twitter currently in mercurial found here:

http://code.google.com/p/python-twitter/

is more up to date. Not supporting oauth makes this package useless, as twitter now only supports oauth authentication.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
python-twitter-0.6-3.fc12.noarch

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to initialize python-twitter api object with oauth keys

Additional info:

Can you please package the latest mercurial release of python-twitter?

Thanks!

Needs python-oauth2 to be in Fedora first:

As we have packaged python-oauth2 for Fedora, please update this package

Just waiting for python-oauth2 updates to get to stable. This package is already updated in rawhide.
