Description stephane lacassagne 2010-10-26 11:13:36 UTC
Résumé:

SELinux empêche /opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Adobe AIR Application Installer de
charger /opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.so qui exige une
réinstallation du texte.

Description détaillée:

The 41646F626520414952204170706C69 application attempted to load /opt/Adobe
AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.so which requires text relocation. This is a
potential security problem. Most libraries do not need this permission.
Libraries are sometimes coded incorrectly and request this permission. The
SELinux Memory Protection Tests
(http://www.akkadia.org/drepper/selinux-mem.html) web page explains how to
remove this requirement. You can configure SELinux temporarily to allow
/opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.so to use relocation as a
workaround, until the library is fixed. Please file a bug report.

Autoriser l'accès:

Si vous autorisez /opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.so à fonctionner
correctement, vous pouvez changer le contexte du fichier à textrel_shlib_t. «
chcon -t textrel_shlib_t /opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.so » Vous
devez aussi changer le dossier par défaut des fichiers de contexte de votre
système, même lors d'un réétiquetage complet, de manière à les préserver. «
semanage fcontext -a -t textrel_shlib_t
'/opt/Adobe.AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.s

Commande de correction:

chcon -t textrel_shlib_t '/opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/libcurl.so'

Hash String generated from  allow_execmod,41646F626520414952204170706C69,unconfined_execmem_t,lib_t,file,execmod
audit2allow suggests:

#============= unconfined_execmem_t ==============
#!!!! This avc can be allowed using the boolean 'allow_execmod'

allow unconfined_execmem_t lib_t:file execmod;

Either change the context on the library as specified in the alert or turn off
the check altogether.

# setsebool -P allow_execmod 1

Context.  The bug arose when:

* viewing flash content in the website www.linksysbycisco.com/uk/EN/home
* using the Adobe flash player
* Fedora 12
* Firefox 3.5.15
* right-clicked on flash content to get context menu. Chose 'About Flash Player' or similar option.
--> open a new firefox tab at adobe's website
While that was loading
--> bug arose
Note: the flash content at linksysbycisco slows my PC and firefox to an utter crawl. The hardware is 8 years old, so this whole sequence happened at a glacial rate. :)
