I just "upgraded" to x86 RedHat 6.1 on a quad Xeon Proliant
5500 which I run as my NIS/Web/MAil/NFS/backup server. I
have in excess of 11,000 users and millions of dollars worth
of high end servers.
The ypserv that is on the cdrom (6.1 x86)is broken and dies
quietly every time it starts up. We have tailed the mesg
logs and there is no error message of any kind.
I can not affored for this problem not to be fixed
immediatly.

Try the errata ypserv.
