This bug has been copied from bug #643165 and has been proposed
to be backported to 5.5 z-stream (EUS).

I cross-wrote patch 35345ddf to the 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5
kernel for 5.5.z and POSTed it to rhkernel-list.  Sorry about
the delay.  Changing status to POST.
