Description of problem:
GDB has a testsuite regression.

Steps to Reproduce:
Compile FSF GDB HEAD, from:
git clone git://sourceware.org/git/gdb.git
cd gdb/testsuite
make site.exp
runtest gdb.base/completion.exp


Actual results:
Running ./gdb.base/completion.exp ...
ERROR: Process no longer exists

Really a memory corruption by GDB - it just did not reproduce before, sorry.
