Patchset to update Emulex LPFC driver to 8.2.0.87.1p

Patchset to update Emulex LPFC driver to 8.2.0.87.1p (applies on top of 8.2.0.87).

The attached tarball contains:

1. The set of patches; each patch corresponds to an individual fix as per
agreement.

2. A README file that describes the patch naming scheme, and directions and
instructions on how to apply the patches.

3. The ChangeLog of the fixes included in this patchset.

Here are the contents of the Changelog file:

r9491_CR111515: Cleanup mailbox commands in mboxq_cmpl when CVL is received.
Without this fix, the driver will send a PLOGI to the nameserver using an old
MAC address after a CVL

r9492_CR111516: Updated driver to handle CVL after Nameserver PLOGI timeouts.
Without this fix, the driver will lose virtual link after consecutive PLOGIs
fail

r9493_CR110885: Fix for failure to log into FDMI_DID after link bounce

r9494_CR110883: Fix bug with remote SLI4 firmware download data not being
transmitted.

r9495_CR111997: Fixed a NULL pointer dereference duing memory allocation
failure.

r9496: Set heartbeat timer off by default

Hi Vaios,

I noticed there is not driver version update for this patchset. Can you attach one here?

Can you fix this?

Thanks, Rob

Comment 5 Rob Evers 2010-11-24 14:11:03 UTC
Hi Vaios,

Also, please include a rhel5.6 version of Dick Kennedy's patch:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=453228

from

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=640225#c3

with the version update patch and attach both here.

This is pretty urgent.

Thanks, Rob

Patchset to update Emulex LPFC driver to 8.2.0.87.1p - rev 2

Patchset that now contains a version bump.

Also, the previously submitted driver for RHEL5.6, 8.2.0.87, contains all the fixes necessary for NetApp (bz640225), including Dick's fix Rob referenced in his previous comment. No additional patches are necessary

I just unwound the tar file and only saw the version bump as the new patch.
Looks like I am still missing Dick's patch?

Rob,

Per Joe in comment #6:
...
Also, the previously submitted driver for RHEL5.6, 8.2.0.87, contains all the
fixes necessary for NetApp (bz640225), including Dick's fix Rob referenced in
his previous comment. No additional patches are necessary
...

No additional patches are expected or were supposed to be included in the latest Comment #6 patchset.
