Description Bojan Smojver 2010-11-21 22:40:03 UTC
Description of problem:
Various settings will not take effect with Evolution 2.32.1, after the upgrade from 2.32.0. The first symptom was that Evo reverted to vertical preview, instead of classic which was set up before. Clicking Mark messages as read takes no effect, as well as Start typing at the bottom. All of these have been set before.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-2.32.1-1.fc14.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Evo prefs and try to set them, no effect on behaviour.
2. Exit Evo.
3. Re-enter Evo - settings gone.

Actual results:
Settings not taking effect and gone once Evo is re-entered.

Expected results:
Settings should work.

Additional info:
Will try to remove the lot and set up everything from scratch. Maybe that will help.

I set up a clean account after removing ~/.local/share/evolution, .cache/evolution and doing gconftool-2 --recursive- unset /apps/evolution. Settings are just not working.

Oh, and one more thing. Many settings selected during IMAP+ account setup are NOT transferred forward.

Hibernate/thaw problem with ThinkPad T510 here. Gconf daemon was busted after second thaw - no idea why. Anyhow, this was causing Evo settings to go nuts (BTW, what I said in comment #2 still stands - I noticed this before). Worked after reboot.
