RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2011:0446 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE libvirt bug fix update 2011-04-14 16:18:21 UTC

Description RHEL Program Management 2010-11-24 15:46:30 UTC
This bug has been copied from bug #643407 and has been proposed
to be backported to 6.0 z-stream (EUS).

Comment 3 Jiri Denemark 2010-11-29 23:52:22 UTC
Patches built into libvirt-0.8.1-27.el6_0.1

Comment 4 Johnny Liu 2010-12-21 10:39:55 UTC
The following verification is done on RHEL6 host, not on VDSM environment.

On old libvirt version - libvirt-0.8.1-27.el6.x86_64:
# ls -ld /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/ /var/cache/libvirt/qemu/
drwxr-xr-x. 2 qemu qemu 4096 Dec 21 06:58 /var/cache/libvirt/qemu/
drwx------. 4 qemu qemu 4096 Dec 21 06:57 /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/

On latest libvirt version - libvirt-0.8.1-27.el6_0.2.x86_64:
# ls -ld /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/ /var/cache/libvirt/qemu/
drwxr-xr-x. 2 qemu qemu 4096 Dec 21 10:35 /var/cache/libvirt/qemu/
drwxr-x---. 4 qemu qemu 4096 Dec 21 10:34 /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/

So seem this bug is fixed on libvirt.

Comment 7 Petr Beňas 2011-02-03 08:33:30 UTC
Reproduced in libvirt-0.8.1-27.el6 and verified in libvirt-0.8.1-28.el6.
