Comment ----- Currently averaging about 3 -5 crashes per day. It takes Evolution between 10 and 30 minutes to start up and synchronise email. Logging into OWA takes 5 seconds. Sigh

Thanks for a bug report. This particular one had been reported already, thus I'm marking it as a duplicate. I see that the corresponding upstream bug has a test patch with some debug output which may give us some clues what is happening behind the scene.
