Description of problem: The FC13 build of this driver no longer works with FC14 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): FC13 (not updated for FC14) How reproducible: yum upgrade of a FC13 box certainly has this problem. Cannot verify for plain FC14 install Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have working FC13 distro, including xorg-x11-drv-ivtv-1.1.1-1.fc13.i686 2. yum --releasever=14 distro-sync --skip-broken 3. startx Actual results: /var/log/Xorg.0.log contains : dlopen: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/ivtv_drv.so: undefined symbol: miEmptyData Expected results: X starts normally Additional info: As can be seen in this X patch : http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-commit/2010-June/025930.html there has been a global rename of miEmptyData to RegionEmptyData (for example). Instances of these driver globals are incorporated via includes. The package just needs recompiling, and will work for FC14. Simple test : grep -iR miemptydata /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/ should produce no results, grep -iR regionemptydata /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/ should list all the drivers.

Re-Assigned, the wording of the said bug is quite different. Actually It could have been solved the same as xorg-x11-drv-ivtv-1.1.1-2.fc14 was a rebuilt to fix this previous bug but wasn't actually pushed into the repository. Rebuilt again to workaround the gcc bug also.
Updated package are in updates-testing, please give it karma. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/xorg-x11-drv-ivtv-1.1.2-1.fc14 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=212748 The current pacakge in updates should already have fixed this specific bug, so closing to current.
