There are some error messages on std err: ao_pulse ERROR: Unrecognized channel name "" in channel matrix "" ao_pulse WARNING: Input channel matrix invalid; ignoring. ao_pulse ERROR: Unrecognized channel name "" in channel matrix "" ao_pulse WARNING: Input channel matrix invalid; ignoring. These errors disappear and sound seems to work if I add the line format.matrix = NULL; to the file rdpsnd_libao.c The line has to be added after the line containing: format.byte_format = AO_FMT_NATIVE; This line occurs twice in the file, I've added the line above in both places.

Package: rdesktop-1.6.0-9.fc14 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. Connected to a windows XP x64 (actually under hood this is 2003) 2. After a while the rdesktop package crashed after a mouseclick, allso after reconnecting. 3. Comment ----- A mouseclick crashes it, most oddly
Disabling sound indied fixes it. Willing to test the fix, but atm not really have time to compile. willing to test RPM
Patched RPM's at: http://ftp.crc.dk/f14-rdesktop/
Tested with and without sound. Youtube plays with sound, other clicking sounds are ok. No further crashes detected so far. Thanks!
